Drawing on over 20 years of experience as a teacher, lecturer and minister, Dr. Lunde uses simple explanations and dramatic examples to demonstrate how practicing Science of Mind principles can produce health, happiness, peace and prosperity in our lives. Dr. Lunde shows how Science of Mind unifies philosophy, science and religion teaching how anyone may use universal love and law in everyday life.
Dr. Lunde has been involved in the study of Science of Mind since childhood. Her parents were the founders of the Science of Mind Centers in both Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Ernest Holmes, the founder of Science of Mind, was a frequent guest at their home. After completing courses at the University of Southern California and the University of Miami, Dr. Lunde realized her true passion, like her parents, was to become a Science of Mind minister. While working as a Montessori teacher, Dr. Lunde completed her course work in 1976 with Religious Science International based in California and was ordained in 1982.
Dr. Lunde has been involved in the Boca Raton center since its inception as a Science of Mind society meeting. In 1981, the society had grown from 12 members to the required 75 members to become a church and began meeting in the Boca Raton Dinner Theatre. At that time Dr. Lunde was appointed President of the Board of Trustees and worked as an assistant minister. In 1982, Dr. Lunde was elected as minister of the center and by 1989, under Dr. Lunde’s direction, the center was able to purchase the property where it is currently located.
Dr. Lunde ran a successful radio ministry from 1988 to 1994. She was on the Board of Directors of Religious Science International for four years. She has been a guest lecturer at Brandeis University, Lynn University, Friends of the Library and various entrepreneurial groups. She is the State Chaplin for the National League of American Pen Women and, in March 2001, received her honorary doctorate from Religious Science International.
